Following his exit from French fashion house Mugler last week, Nicola Formichetti has joined Diesel as the brand's first artistic director.

Renzo Rosso, founder of Diesel, commented 'I finally met somebody as crazy as I am. Nicola shares my vision and I find it incredibly inspiring to work with him... With his help, I want to break more rules and bring the real Diesel to a new generation'. Formichetti, who's also Lady Gaga's stylist, is to oversee the brand's main line and begins his new role immediately with the DIESELREBOOT project.
